Although summer seems to be lingering, we are all waiting, very impatiently I might add, for that first cool nip in the air. A much awaited alarm to set off the thrill of jumping head first into our Fall wardrobes! While we’re stocked with the essentials… skinny boyfriends, a new pair of bootcut… high hell hiking boots and maybe some sturdy brogues, a fisherman sweater, pleated mini, striped cardigan (are you checking off this list as you read it?) and quite possible… a letterman jacket? Admittedly, I’m on the fence about this one, and might leave it to the younger divas to rock this upcoming season. I will, however, be purchasing something in leather! Yes, ou heard correctly, leather. And not just the typical motorcycle or bomber jacket, but I’m thinking something super-luxe… shorts? Or maybe even a maxi skirt!
Fashion’s love for leather is a torrid romance novel… We can’t live with it, we can’t live without it. There are years when we have shunned the hide and turned our ‘green’ noses as it, and other seasons where it seems everyone from kid sister to grandmother is wearing it. On again, off again… women are so fickle. This fall, though, we can’t seem to get enough.
